To complement City Lore’s Waterfront Heroes exhibit, performance artist and astrologer Nate Speare performs an offering inspired by Poseidon’s role as creative catalyst, connected to the tension between water and humanity in regards to climate change, motion, psychic phenomena and evolution. A storytelling circle follows the performance in which attendees are invited to share stories (from the personal to the folkloric) riffing on “water” or Neptune while surrounded by images of New York City waterfront heroes.
